Refugium lighting

Just start my refugium using algae barn unfortunately it came with no instructions so I thing I killed most of the pod, but that’s a easy replacement. My question is how long do I leave the lights on and when is the best time to leave them on

They may be ok still, I run mine at night to help with PH and 12 hours.
