So i let my light go in my fuge for a while until i could replace my chaeto and there is an explosion of life. GHA, diatoms, bubble algae its going nuts. I have since put more chaeto in there, but now am wondering if I should put a few emerald crabs in the fuge to keep things under control.
Am i at risk of this other nuisance algae traveling to my DT (currently mid ugly phase)?

If it's in your fuge it's already in your display. Imo your fuge is doing exactly what it is suppose to do. Rather have stuff grow down there than in your display.

What are your nutrient levels? Recent spike?

I'd add something like emeralds, hermits or sally lightfoot crabs. As far as the algae traveling if it shows in one place it's likely already everywhere. It's a conmplex combination of variables including microbiomes that determine how much and where algae grows. Outsied of adding algae eaters I'd be patient and wouldn't do anything except maybe manual removal.

I added an emerald and it did a great job cleaning. Just be warned it will eat your cheato once it has eaten the other stuff but you can move it on when it does
