I have a tank that has been set up approx 10 weeks. It has finished cycling and I have added a few fish and some other critters. I have a protein skimmer in my sump and wanted to start a refugium with some cheato and pods. My question is, is it ok to add the mud to an existing cycled system. I think I should shut off my return and get as much water out of my sump as I can and maybe let the water settle for awhile before turning the pumps back on? Thanks for any help

I added mud to my system after years of it running, you should be ok. Just wait a little for it to settle before turning your return

10-4. I a shut down my return and added it. Super cloudy! probably be settled by tomorrow.
