HI All,
I have a JBJ 45 AIO and I am looking to tip toe into a refugium for a healthy reef.
The 2 options that I am considering would be HOB refug or inTank fuge basket.

Ideally having something that would sit inside the back sump area would look the best overall but will it be as effective as a HOB?

I also know with the fuge I would need a light so I am looking at the Tunze waterproof or the Reefbreeder Pico light.

Any advice for this tank/fuge combo would be appreciated.
Current tank inhabitants:
1 Jawfish
2 Clownfish
1 Filefish
1 Algae Blenny
1 Hawkfish
1 frogspawn
1 hammer

I prefer larger fuges/sumps. This allows more options as tank requirements change over time.

In my opinion, I would do both and over time make adjustments as needed (e.g. eliminate HOB, or convert rear fuge to some other equipment compartment). All while trying to maintain that clean and less cluttered look if possible. ;)
