Refugium or no refugium

About to order a new sump for my 60” 180 gallon tank. I’m trying to decide if I should get one with a refugium chamber or not. Right now I am considering the Trigger emerald and an Eshopps RS 300.

I say get the one with the fuge chamber! Trigger emerald is nice. I have the Trigger Ruby 36 for my 150 and I run a fuge.

Do you run your skimmer in the sock chamber or center chamber? I was looking at that one but did not think my skimmer Eshopps S300 would fit.

I couldn’t imagine running a system without a fuge these days honestly. Anything I can do to eliminate the need for mechanical filtration I’m all for it. Plus the added bonus of housing a pod population and various macro algaes that you could feed to your fish if you chose. It’s really one of my favorite things to operate lol. I love a good fuge

I run a bubble Magnus Nac 7 in the sock chamber. I use a Amazon LED grow light for the Fuge, my mangroves and chaeto grow like crazy.
