Hi All,

I just purchased a trigger sump for my RedSea Max E-170 and wanted to pick the brain of the community here and see what everyone thoughts are on how they stock their Refugiums.

What works for them, I.E. live rocks vs bedding sand, chaeto vs mangroves vs lettuce, types of pods ect

Thanks!!!

I have the Emerald 34 and I used 15 pounds of Miracle Mud, no rock and chaetomorpha. Working well for over a year or so.

My refugium is for nutrient export. I grow macro algae. Some macro like to put out roots, so I have a crushed coral substrate. No mud, no critters, just macro and on a rare occasion a misbehaving fish that was evicted from the DT.
