Hello Everyone!

I am planning to setup a Refugium/ Sump for my new 120 gallon tank. Because I am getting a slightly bigger protein skimmer that will only fit in the middle portion of my sump, I was ordering if I can set it up as in the image below?

Also is the equipment I chose alright ?

1) Reef Octopus 200 INT
2) Coral Compulsions Refugium Bulb and Lamp
3) Hydor 1500 GPH ( For tank )

Thank you for your time and consideration !

You could set it up that way for sure. Just make sure that if any macroalgae drifts off it doesn’t clog up the skimmer impeller. As for the refugium bulb, I have no experience with it, but what you’ll be growing is nothing special.
For the main tank, you’re going to want more flow than 1500GPH plus return. If you plan on keeping corals, I would go with a minimum of 4,000GPH total, more if you want SPS.

Thank you ! Would 2 Hydor 1500 + Rio 2500 suffice for flow ? Is there a better pump with wave maker that you suggest ?
