I purchased a used small aquafuge 2. To help with filtration and hopefully having a pod population. Was wondering if one of those refugium starter packs from algae barn was a good option or would anybody have a better suggestion? Any help is appreciated thank you!

Yes they can help kick start pod populations.

They should be quite good as it’s like an all in one solution. I wish Singapore would have this kind of service but sadly not:(

Nah I am still 14 ,school is the priority, but maybe in the future.....

Maybe should try to copy algaebarn method and pitch it to my local LFS, see if they will act on it or not

IME there is not need to by pods. They will just show up as you add frags to the tank and macro to the fuge. Pods hitch hike in on the frag plugs and macro algae, its impossible to keep them out of a reef tank. When I start a new tank I add Microbacter7 or Biospira and Reef Stew a local concoction of phytoplankton, adult brine, baby brine, pods are in there also. The fuge will automatically explode with life on its own as long as the tank was seeded well. The lack of real live rock and using only dry rock has decreased the bio diversity in our reef tanks.
