Refugium substrate

New build 120 w/sump.

1) Substrate in refugium for pods to reproduce or just macroalgae & bare bottom?
2) any strong recommendations on caribe Ocean Direct or Arag special grade?

Actual user input is more helpful then just brstv alone which is great.
