Refugium without light?

Hi, i'm thinking of Running a compartment in my all in one tank with some chaeto algae and som marine pure spheares. But there isnt really any room for lighting...

So will it be useless without lighting and What is the ups and downs.

Cheato needs light to survive and grow.

The macro algae will just die on you and pollute your water, it relies on photosynthesis to survive and so, without light, it's gonna die.
