Refugium?

I would like to know opinions on a refugium. I have a 75 gallon with sump but I don't have room for refugium and skimmer. I'm trying to decide what way to go. Also will filter fleece trap pods or would they make it through? Thank you.

If your trying to decide between a refugium or skimmer, i'd def go with a skimmer. Refugiums do a pretty good job at nutrient export - sometime too effective (i have to dose Nitrate or i bottom out on both of my 200g tanks + have to cull the chaeto weekly to keep it a softball size). The skimmer does the heavy lifting in my opinion on nutrient export - can't imagine keeping my tanks without one.
