What should i add to my Refugium. Currently i have some cheto and i have a finnix planted 24/7 as my light. What else should i add in there. I watched a few videos and i saw the guy put these block things in there. what's in yours and what would you suggest

I've been running just a bare bottom refugium with chaeto. Nothing extra. The block I believe you're referring to is the Marinepure ceramic biomedia plates. It's basically like a super house for your bacteria in your tank. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/marinepure-ceramic-biomedia-plate.html

Depends on what you want to use it for. If you're going for nutrient removal chaeto is a good starter. Ulva for phosphate removal, Caulerpa (if it's legal where you live) for nitrate removal). You can grow food if you have any herbivorous fish like tangs or foxface (ulva, gracilaria, dragon's breath, etc). Or you can add some other nice looking algae to make it look pretty.

I'd personally add some small pieces of LR rubble to increase surface area and maybe some pods, bristle worms, micro brittle stars for detritus removal

I like having a bare bottom with just cheto. I get a layer of detritus and I vacuum it out from time to time, but either way adding sand or rock or other types of algae you really can't go wrong.

I have miracle mud, caulerpa and some live rock in mine, its lit 24/7 by a kessil h160. It seems to be working well. The caulerpa is growing like weeds in there! I think the caulerpa needs a substrate for its roots but I'm not 100% certain its a requirement.
