Does anyone know if this is worth it? I have a 20 high. What do I put in it and need to make this beneficial?

If you have the space, adding a fuge can be a great way to enhance a nano tank. That price seems a little high, but I think it would be highly beneficial. You can add a 1" sand bed and some rubble rock for pods to live in. Add chaeto and a fuge light if possible or just more rubble rock to create a more biological filtration.

Do you know of any cheaper ones? And does a fuge light have to be special or any light can do? Do I have to buy pods or is that something that will pop up?

I found one on eBay, it came with the tank and a no-name light, but it works great. It was cheaper. I would search around for a hang on back Refugium if you want one. Depending on what’s in your tank already, unless you’re using real live rock, you’ll need to buy them. I’d check out Dinkins Aquatic Gardens.

What if I got like a hang on back breeder box seems like the same concept pretty much

It may work, but after buying pumps and lights ( depending on brand and what’s included) it may be cheaper to get the Refugium. The one I have also has black front and sides so the light can’t bleed into the dt. The light is very good at growing algae, so if you did a clear Breeder box, you’d likely get algea growing where the light came into dt.

Try searching YouTube for Refugium builds using the aquaclear 70 or 110. It looks like people had a lot of success for around $80-140 depending on the model you want and what modifications you’re going to add, including light for chaeto.
