Hello, bought this skimmer when my plan was much simpler. Now that my total volume will be closer to 800+ gallons, will this be enough skimmer?

Main display 400 gallons reef with lots of little fish but only a few larger tangs/angels
Refugium 190 gallons with macro alges, live rock and a few larger non reef safe fish
Frag tank 120 gallons corals and a few maintenance fish
Sump 100 gallons (actual water volume not tank size)

I would consider it a heavy bio-load. Set up also include CR220 calcium reactor with effluent chamber/BR3000 reactor/OR150 Ozone reactor to help with filtration and a couple 100ft of 1.5" plumbing.

Thanks for any help, Zach

You should be fine. You only count the water that contains the load and everything else is considered filtration. The next skimmer size up would be the XP8000ext: http://www.coralvue.com/sro-xp8000-recirculating-external-protein-skimmer which would be good for filtering 800-1200gallons.

I'm running 2 of the same(Diablo..not regal) on a similar size setup with a massive Bio-load. I run one wet and one more dry...I have to empty both more than once a week.
If you have the space and funds you will appreciate having two. Here is a pic from when I added the second one.

Thanks everyone. Running two is kinda what I am leaning towards. Mine is a Diablo with a Varios upgrade. Might buy another from the close out section.
