Here’s a pic of my favorites playing nice. Ignore the disgusting gha, I finally beat that back. This pic was a few weeks ago.

I hate GHA! My large tank has never had more than a tiny bit. But my 65 was covered at one time! Love your group of fish. I used to have a copperband. But the thing was mean to my smaller fish! How large is the tank they are in?

I have a Red Sea 525 xl reefer.

My 65 is a RedSea. There is a gal that lives near me with one like yours. Beautiful tanks!

Alton, they are beautiful. I am hoping to have mine for years also. What is the name of the coral that is blue and plating? I have little luck with coral and am starting to look into it more. That is the type I like! Thanks for sharing the photo. It is a great photo!

Shelly I have no idea? I spend very little money on corals. Most of the corals in this tank are six to 15 years old and I spent less than $10 per frag from local reefers. They where transplants from my 200 to my 300 and then to this 180. Years ago I would make sure the GSP stayed away from the SPS. That got old so I just let them fight it out. What is funny most of the SPS found a way to survive.

You have been very fortunate. They are beautiful. I have a Dendro that is recovering in a hospital tank. I can make sure it gets fed every day this way. Not sure what got to it. But I would hate to lose it since it has been with me for years. I have to order all my corals. Or take a 4 hour one way drive to hopefully find some in CO.

@alton what lights do you have? I am getting ready to buy new ones and starting to look.

Thanks,
Shelley

I have used lots of grow lights in the past. I do a lot of gardening. I have 4 beds that are 33 by 8 feet and one that is about 60 foot long. And numerous smaller ones. These are my flower beds. So I used to save money by starting my own plants. It got to be a lot of work so I scaled it back.

I had to remove a coral from the tank. Seems the smaller one liked it. It has been months with no coral. Planning on adding some soon.

My Regal the forst two pictures are two of the three I have in my tank before the Harvey crash. The last three pictures are of the pair I have now in my 320 DT

One of my regals took a liking to most of my Soft & LPS corals. Every time I try to add another type of coral to the tank, even a monti frag, the regal attacks and kills it. Tank is quickly turning into a FOWLR. Bummer.

So far I have been lucky. They are leaving a small colony of zoas alone. Sorry yours are misbehaving. So is that bear a photo you took?

I am really enjoying everyone's photos. Lots of great ones.

Before the regals I tried a flame angel and he was another coral & clam nipper/ eater. Bears in this part of New Jersey are very numerous and comfortable around people as you can see as I try to get between him and my chicken coop. Last Fall he ripped the door off the coop and ate 6 of my hens while trying to fattening up for winter.
