I have an angel that has had this condition for about two weeks. It also hasn’t changed in that time period. The fish still feeds well and acts normal, but I expected the condition to improve by now. The eye is clear and there is no sign of injury or infection on the outside. My purple tang has become very aggressive during feedings and threatens all fish in the 6 foot long tank. I am afraid it may have spiked the angel in the eye. This weekend I may try to remove the angel to a QT and try Epson salt treatment Any feed back would be appreciated.

I don’t have experience with angels, but my various anthias have gotten pop eye from time to time. For me I start feeding live Blackworms heavy and it goes away. Not sure if it’s just coincidence or the better nutrition cures them. But one thing I’m sure of is all my fish love eating live Blackworms.

If your PT has become that aggressive, you may have to re-home it for a while. Let the regal relax and definitely good nutrition and less stress

Thanks everyone for your help. I will keep you posted

Up date on pop eye. I decided to leave the fish alone in DT and not medicate. It took 3 weeks, but the eye has returned to normal.

Awesome!! Great news!! Does ur Regal pick at any corals?

I've had a bunch of Regal's over the years. They were all pretty well behaved in Reef Tanks... Honestly, I've probably tried 6 of them. Was only able to get maybe 3 of them eating prepared foods....

My two regals have been well behaved with most corals. My favorite soft corals (neon green sinularia) and Zoas were ripped up by them and I lost all my Duncan corals, but not sure if the regals were to blame. Currently have SPS, LPS: hammers, Soft:toad stool, anemones all doing well.

My experience with popeye generally is to just let it resolve on its own. Usually it does. Removing the fish and hitting it with a bunch of meds is more likely to be a case of the cure being worse than the disease. Occasionally the eye is list, but only occasionally.
