Hey guys figured I would just make a new post. So my regal I got early and had a bit of a scare with still has those same dots on her. Someone said it might not be some horrible thing like ich or velvet. I keep looking, she still has the dots but hasnt gotten more spots but they are not going away. Shes eating perfectly (like a piggy actually) and very active, just want to confirm what it is and make sure I dont need to treat her for something. Cant get a current picture of her, too much algae on the tank and my dang scraper broke -.- have one coming this weekend! So here is a picture of her from the first morning in her QT tank. Spots are still the same and in the same spots

No doubt Lymphocystis which is not uncommon with them. I think we discussed this before. . . . Lympho is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS nano frenzy and mysis shrimp.

Gotcha thank you, and yes we did I just wanted to double check since Ive never heard of it before and was paranoid it was ich. Will it go away with good water and food?

Yes- will fall off on its own

Okay cool!

Yep, that's Lymphocystis. It is caused by a virus. It may get a bit worse before it gets better, but in 99% of the cases, it goes away in 4 to 6 weeks. If the lesions start up around the fish's mouth, that may impair eating, but that is the only issue with this disease.

The old joke is, "do x,y,z and it will go away in six weeks" - where x,y,z can be anything (grin)
