Hi guys, my Small regal tang has been healthy and lively for few weeks but only today has started falling over on to its side abit on the whilst on the sand bit, and has a rash of some sort on one side.
Could someone please help?
Sorry to hear, Can you get a closer pic with a bit more white and some info on the guy, and if you noticed any other things like scratching? Also, can you give some tank water numbers, anything new in the tank, etc.
This guy is VERY thin and probably weak. What are you feeding and is it eating ??
Fatten it up IF eating with brine shrimp, preferably spirulina brine. Feed additionally . . :
mysis shrimp
small plankton
formula 2 flake and frozen
LRS Herbivore diet
ADD GARLIC EXTRACT AND SELCON VITAMINS TO ITS' FOOD.
If he’s still eating you need to feed it multiple times per day. I’d say once an hour. You need to fatten that fish up. Try LRS food or Rods. He is also small so they need to eat multiple times per day.
The clamped fins seen in the pictures and lethargy you describe is troubling. Has the fish been checked for flukes? A freshwater dip will either confirm or eliminate flukes as a possible problem. As always, any treatment comes with risk, especially if the fish is in a weakened condition.
