So the time has come to regenerate the purigen on my 20g nano and after googling the few steps I went ahead and gave it a try. I followed the directions below exactly but came to realize that the dechlorinator I used is possibly one of those that could harm the resin. I let the media bag dry out in the sun for a day and it has been completely dry for a few days now. Should I just buy a new one? Or has anyone used this dechlorinator successfully? I just happened to have this one handy from my girlfriends old betta fish tank so I kinda went ahead and used it but upon doing some reading I really dont feel like risking all my corals.

When I used to use purigen, I only used prime to dechlorinate after regen. That stuff apears to be similar, and could work...but...when dealing with chlorine and the risk of introducing any amount to my tank is a risk I am not willing to accept. If it were me, I would play it safe and stick with prime.

Side note...when I did not use purigen anymore, that was one less factor to eliminate in the event something goes south in the tank, and a more simplified system.
