Regeneration of Feather Duster Crown

Just wanted to share. I have a few Caribbean Feather Dusters in my tank and one recently lost its crown. I thought it was a goner, but over the past 3 weeks it has almost completely regrown its "feathers". Has anyone else seen this rapid recovery before? I am really impressed with their resilience.

Yes - that is pretty common with feather dusters, they get stressed and drop their crowns. However, they then regrow their crowns using their internal food stores, so it doesn't mean that they are thriving. Long term, giant feather dusters of the genus Sabellastarte do not typically live long in aquariums. Feeding them is the issue, and I don't have a good solution for that problem. Smaller species seems to thrive in aquariums....
