rehoming a mushroom

so about 2 weeks ago, i had one of my superman mushrooms detach from the plug. i have put that head into a small container at the bottom of teh tank with small rock to allow it to re-attach to, but it seems that it doesnt stay put long enough to attach itself. either during the night, after it has shrunken, or during the day if water movement made it move, it just doesnt stay long enough it seeems.
any suggestions on other ways to attach it to something/anything? i think the most it has attached itself to right now is one grain of sand.

Put it in a mesh bag with the rock you want it to attach to and tie it with string or a rubber band to make it smaller to keep them in contact. Or put the shroom on some gravel until it sticks to it and then glue the gravel to the rock. Personally I just find a piece a of rock rubble with a hole in it and put the shrooms butt in it and usually they attach fast that way.

Can also use a loose rubber band, out of flow, to secure to rock. Wait a few days.
