Always hire a structural engineer when you are not sure about the floor where you are planning to to put the tank. When we put our 210 gallon on second floor of the townhouse the structural engineer wanted to see what kind of trusses were under the floor, how far apart were they from each other, is the tank sitting on top of load bearing wall, are they running parallel or perpendicular to the potential tank etc. He made decision based on the answer of all these questions. So please always hire a structural engineer if in doubt as they are not that expensive to hire especially when you are going to invest upwards for 10K in equipment and livestock in a tank that big.
