I have an old 30 gallon acrylic aquarium that had a seam failure at some point. One of the seams split at the top about 1" down. I already repaired it with weld-on #4, but looking at all seams, I would like to reinforce all 4 with acrylic square rods on the inside. I'm having trouble finding cast acrylic rods. All I have found so far are extruded acrylic rods. I have also tried sourcing companies that would cut an acrylic sheet into rods, and so far no one is willing to do it for one reason or another. Would extruded rods be OK for this purpose?

I am not a materials expert by any stretch, I think for an application like this where it is supplementing the primary joint I would not lose sleep over it.

They can’t be solicited it glued but using Weldon and acrylic rods may do the trick
