Relearning all the fun salty game again

Last Saturday I got back into the salty arm game when I picked up the following from a local reefer to me.

It's currently in teardown mode while I wait for the replacement parts and the rest of the plumbing parts.

Innovative marine nuvi 112
Aps stand
2 viperstoectra lights
Trigger systems SAPPHIRE34 sump
Ato with 20 gal tank
Dosing pump
Eshopps S-200 protein skimmer
Couple wave makers
4K gyro
DC Return pump
Rdoi with water barrel

Pictured as it was before the teardown and move to my house.

Welcome! Glad you joined. You must be SOOOO excited!!!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Normally I would have had a whole lot more organized, but I am a truck driver, out a week at a time. And this deal for this tank needed to happen, couldn't wait until I had it for anything else set up.
Time is prized with only 48 Hours a weekend to get everything done. I will see if I can get things put up one of these days. It will be taking a long time I believe.

A small, but heavy update. Got the trigger systems sapphire 34 sump and a 20 gallon glass tank for ato installed under the nearly 300lb nuvo 112. Still have to get some rigid foam to give the sump some center support, s or is the biggest one that will fit in the stand.

Well, as you can imagine life as a truck driver over the road put a pause on progress. But after nearly 10 months it's up and running. Skimmer isn't running as it should be. Previous owner had added legs to the bottom of the skimmer base. I'm thinking I need to cut off the legs to get the proper water height in the skimmer body.

Glad your travels have continued to be safe! Skimmers internal to sumps typically need certain depth to run optimally, so their sump was likely configured different than yours. Legs were likely a cheaper way than the (overpriced) skimmer stands out there.

With today's above photos, you have more than enough to start your build thread. Below is the info and links they gave me when I was new:

One fun way to learn from others and keep a record of your reef aquarium is to create your very own build thread! A build thread is just a thread that tells us about your aquarium and might include photos. You can create your build thread in one of these forums. MEMBER'S AQUARIUMS

Once you have created a build thread then you can get your VERY FIRST USER BADGE! YAY! It's easy to do and I have created a thread that tells you how to do it here: BUILD THREAD BADGE
