What is a good heater to have for a Fluval 13.5 gallon tank. The heater I had just died out on me after 6 months.

So far, we had great success with this heater. I know from my experience, most heaters should be replaced every year. This heater states comes with a warranty. I think the 100w is for up-to 40-gallon tank but might be to large for your 13.5 gallon. Might want to check it out.

There is no reliable heater....I have buckets full of every heater from the cheapest to the most expensive. They all fail eventually. Just use a good controller, keep a spare heater on hand, and use whatever brand you can find.

Can’t beat Finnex titanium heaters

+1 on finnex and Ehiem. On a tank that small heaters are usually inexpensive so you could get anyone and just replace it on as needed basis.
