Can't seem to get repeatable results from my $15-$20 HM Digital EZ Meter (purple one). Even when using calibration fluid.

Is there a decent one thats not too expensive?

The EZ is their bottom end meter and not ATC compensated. Look at the TDS-3, TDS-4TM or AP-1 as their best basic meters and the COM-100 as their best. I have owned all of them and currently use the COM-100 with an AP-1 as a back up.

Excellent info. Thanks. Just ordered the AP-1. Hopefully that one will work better.

What do you think about inline meters?

Inline meters are not very accurate. a high quality handheld is preferred any day of the week, over an inline. however, inlines are useful if you're comparing numbers to each other, with as figuring out a membrane's rejection rate.

I have dual inline meters on my spectrapure rodi and I still test with a handheld.

I just received the ap-1 and bought the calibration fluid. It says do not calibrate when you first receive it it's already been set yet it's reading 359 for my 342 test solution. Should I calibrate or not?

Still not holding even after calibration. Contacted company advised me to return it.
