Hey guys! So I just got my first coral and when I bought it, it didn't show the name and she said it was an lps. So could yous kind of give me some info on the coral? And also I see the coral kind of has a crack it looks like at the base and I've heard of corals splitting does that look like what's happening or is it just how the base is? Sorry for my last post let me know if yous are able to view the image, thanks guys !

You have a euphyllia there. It's called a torch coral. They are very nice when they grow out and show lots of movement in your tank.

Euphyllia glabrescens, torch".........you will find a ton of posts in the forum

Looks like Torch/Euphyllia glabrescens. Mod flow, not direct, mod lighting. Maintain the big 3, Ca/Alk/Mag as you would for other stony corals.

Thanks guys! Does the coral by the base look like it's splitting by the look of the crack ? Or is that normal

It looks like just another branch, normal. :-)

You do not need to feed it. Most common fixtures provide enough light.
