That is just one of the many products available to assist you with diatoms. You could also just wait it out. Whatever bacterial cleaner you choose, whether it’s aqua vitro, dr Tim’s, brightwell, or any other brand, the directions will be in the bottle for their product. Follow their instructions

The diatoms will decrease if water parameters are maintained. The bottle bac will do it’s thing and grow it’s population. If it’s a newer tank you can add the maintenance dose with water changes. Eventually your bacterial population will dominate your tank if parameters and care is maintained.

New tank? If not, do you know the source of the silicate/ silicic acid that is supporting them?
