I’m looking for a pump to fit inside the Remora pre-filter box.

I’m using the Cobolt MJ-1200 now. But they are getting hard to find and noisy.
I’d really like a DC pump if it’s possible.

So what are you using that fits?

In my biocube 14 I upgraded it to an mj1200 and then it died. I ended up going with a mighty jet dc pump and love it. They are about the same size, but the nozzle to connect the hose to is a little longer on the mighty jet.

If you did decide to stay with AC pumps, the smaller Sicce Silents are very nice, as well.

i dont think you need a "skimmer pump" or needle wheel for the aqua c right? If so I would just use a jebao dc pump if going dc or sicce 1.0 or 1.5 if ac (sicce is great like eagle steve said)

I can’t quote anyone for some reason. But thank you both.

I’m going to try a Sicce Silent 1.0.
The 1.5 seemed tight. I only have 2 3/8” width. The 1.0 is less flow than the MJ 1200 but I think it will be ok.

The DC pumps are too fat.

I might try a new skimmer one day.

How has the 1.0 worked on the remora? Better or worse than the cobalt 1200?
