Remote skimmer pump

I cant find any info on this, I need to make space in my sump for a KZ reactor, a skimz automatic reactor, here is the issue, it wont fit in my sump with my ATB skimmer or the Abyzz pump, i dont want to lose my fuge until everything gets started up and i see nitrate and phosphates get down to the recommended levels, so that chamber is out. I have room for a pump next to the abyzz, but not enough room for the complete reactor, would it be possible to remote the skimmer pump into that chamber and run a hose to the skimmer in chamber next to it? Then i can run my reactor and the skimmer section in the same chamber temporarily, or maybe even keep it full time if it works out? any ideas? the fuge is 1/2 the sump space.

I tried, it reduced the skimmer performance, i had to have the pump on max and it didnt work very well i think more due to the height over the baffle.

i ended up putting the Zeo reactor in the fuge section. I used some rocks to divert the chaeto away from the pump. its working for now.
