Removal of Sand

I have just recently added sand to my bare bottom reef about a month ago.
I have now remembered how much of a ball ache it is .
I'm a Sps man anyway and want to put another Power head at the back near the bottom.
How should I remove this a little bit each water change until it has gone?

Yes that's how I would do it and the same way I did mine. I hate sand too.

It looks good when its immaculate but that is a lot of wasted time imo.
When the tank has a complete covering of Coraline algae it looks great just rakes time.
Take Jason Foxes tanks for instance
