Should i try to remove this coral from the plug, or just mount it plug and all. I don’t want to kill it.

Brain fart. I realize it’s not frogspawn. I was distracted while writing my post.

yeah, trumpet/candy cane hehe. I always remove the plug when i can. Reduces odds of pests/parasites and honestly they are a serious eye sore in the tank! Either glue them directly to a rock or if you aren't ready for permanent placement, maintain a small supply of rubble rock. You can buy it, or make your own from larger chunks you already have and glue it to one of those for temporary placement or permanent like in your sand bed etc... just my take on it.

How do I remove it. Seems to be glued pretty well.
wire, bone, side cutters will do fine. cut the bottom plug off first. Then cut parallel to the coral (in your particular example) as close as possible to the skeleton on either side. You'll have a decent probability at that point it will just separate completely as it fractures.

Ok. That worked. Some wire cutters, a little pressure and the glue just broke. Separated fine. Thanks!
