Remove Mushroom Coral from a rock

I have a rock, that have a few fan worms about 1-2 inch when they opens, since last year mushroom coral grows on the rock, they grows so quick, so many and so big. They are blocking the tube openings. One of the worm actually left the tube and disappeared.

What is the best way to remove these mushroom corals. I tried to crap one off, but in a month, it grows back. I want them gone but not harming these pretty feather duster fanworms?

That is a hard one. If possible you can move the piece up ,blast them with light, and the mushrooms may detach and move else where. You can try changing flow also.

If you can, or if possible post an image.

Mushroom regenerate so fast and well it's problematic when they begin to take hold.

btw, the rock is about 2 x 4 x 6. i do have advantage to move to other container to work on it

You can scrape them off and cover the spots with some cement.
