Remove shooms from rock to allow growout

So a month ago I won a rock covered with green shrooms at a frag swag. It has tons of babies on it and tons of huge shrooms. The rock is completely covered and I am wondering the best way to sepparate them so I can put them on different rocks to spread better. They are way overcrowded and trying to extend past one another. Baby shrooms are pure white because they are being smothered out by the big boys. Any tips?

Can they be cut right at their foot? Then thrown in a mushroom box
