I discovered what I believe to be gray palys (that's what I saw them being referred to as elsewhere) growing on my live rock. It was only two polyps on a small rock so I just took the rock out. I removed them because I didn't like the look of them and didn't want them to spread. Do I need to do anything special to the rock they came off of? I have no intent on putting it back in my reef. I just don't want to expose myself or the family to any potentially dangerous toxins from the polyps.
