Removing Aiptasia from Zoanthid stalk?

Hi all,

I've had a zoa frag closed up for a week. Upon inspection last night, I observed an aiptasia right on the stalk of the zoa. I very carefully pulled it off with a tweezer and rinsed the frag several times in RO water. I'll be curious to see what it looks like tonight after work, but if the aiptasia reappears, what's the best method for removing it?

F Aiptasia works great but also kills any Zoa's that it comes in contact with. I've had to kill a few polyps to save a colony

I keep having them pop up on the same zoa plug. I’ve just been pulling them off and putting a little peroxide on the plug. I’ve pulled four now I think. I’ve caught them small and only one or two zoas have been closed in each instance. They reopen within a day. Not exactly sure when but I think sometimes within minutes and other times hours. I don’t know if there’s a good way to prevent them regrowing.
