I have 4 rose anemones in my tank, and I want to get 3 of them out. Can anyone tell me the best way to get them to detach from the rocks they are on?

Some people have placed a frozen water bottle on the foot to get it to release, but maneuvering the bottle in between the rocks can be a little tricky sometimes.

The only sure way to remove them is manually. If you have access to their basal discs, try to pry them off with a credit card. if their basal discs are in a crevice or cave, you'll need to break the rock.

Do I need to wear gloves when I touch them?

If you can't get to the foot but can pull the rock out you can try hanging them upside down out of the water. I have also found that after awhile if they still won't let go tapping the rock with a hammer seems to sometimes make them detach.
