Removing center portion of maxspect magnet

Curious to see if anyone has ever removed the center portion of their gyre external magnet?

Kind of like this - imagine blue part cut away.

I want to place it right where my vortech controller cable is. I know I could move the cable but really don’t want to.

You should be able to do this with little problems.

Whelp the earth didn’t stop spinning, pretty sure the sun is coming up tomorrow and now I don’t have to move my vortech cable!
