Removing Diatom from glass?

I am going through the ugly stage and im trying to atleast keep the glass clean. Im also wanting to remove it instead of just knocking it off with the magnet scrubber. Wiping it with a filter pad and rinsing out in the zink is removing it well BUT the fibers from the pad are going into the tank by the hundreds lol. Is there any soft pad or material that will not release tons of fibers that I can buy? I just cant let these tiny fibers dump into my tank! Thanks in advance folks!

I use it the same thing, I heard just to get the original magic eraser but it works great

We use STK extra thick magic cleaning sponges from Amazon soooo much cheaper than Mr Clean sponges and don’t have to worry about them having soap in them - I also have a natural sea sponge (the kind for bathing) that does a great job too
