I have a dinoflagellate problem in one of my tanks that I just can't seem to beat. I would like to move the remaining corals into my other tank. I'm worried about cross contamination and I don't want dinoflagellates in the other tank. So how can I be certain that there's no dinoflagellates on the corals? Is there any dip that will completely kill them?

Freshwater dips supposedly kill dinos instantly. I have delt with them 2x in seperate tanks. Very hard to kill but I used Dino X recently and it worked 100% for my kind of dino problem. There are many different types of dinos but i suggest attacking it from multiple angles and attack it with everything you have or it will just come back.

dino is nasty stuff. you definitely don't want it in any of your tanks so I wouldn't move them until you get it taken care of. what all have you tried? I beat dino with small daily water changes, wet skimming, and h202 dosing.

I have h2o2 dosed, 8 days lights out, kalk dosing, feeding once a week and wet skimming at the same time for the past few months.

@Pete polyp I realize this thread is old, but did you have any success at getting rid of the dinos? I believe that I have some starting, and I want to stop it before its a real concern. Thanks.
