I am considering removing my sand bad and wonder if it would be recommended that I place HDPE or starboard underneath the touch point of the rock structure. It will not be a full sheet of material but just enough to fit underneath both rock structures.

The tank is 80 gallons and I have two fairly large and heavy structure on each side. I am a little concerned about pushing down hard on the structure when mounting frags. Thanks!

I’ve got an acrylic sheet at the bottom of my tank. Rocks on top. Substrate added after. Would need to pull everything out of the tank to pull that off though. Or you could do it in sections I suppose. Good luck

If I did a full sheet, I’d want to silicone around the edges. I am not too concerned with falling rocks since the whole structure is cemented together. Mainly concerned with pushing down on the structure when gluing frags.
