Hi everyone,

I am converting my FW tank into a mixed reef. I have a ton of hard water/ calcium buildup around the top 3 inches or so of the glass. What have you all found effective for cleaning this? Currently I am using vinegar and elbow grease as I am reluctant to use harsh chemicals that may erode the silicone and/or end up in my new reef...

Ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

I use ZEP from home depot. It destroys CA. Vinegar does next to nothing

I use citric acid and let it soak. I find it much more pleasant to use that vinegar but that just personal preference
