Removing montipora from post. Is there an easy way?

Was wondering if there is an easy way to remove the montipora below from it's post without breaking it into pieces. Would like to place it on a rock if possible or is it easier to just leave it alone?

You can gently use a chisel or a thin flathead screwdriver to pry it off or just leave it be and it will encrust the plug. If you don't like the stem, a pair of thick wire cutters can snap the stem off easily.

Even a razor blade should work. That's how I remove acro from the plug for gluing to rock work.

I was thinking to use a chisel. I just remember when I placed it in the tank, I actually chipped it a little bit. I appreciate the advice. Will see what I can do. May leave it attached if I get too nervous. Lol.

Np. Just be careful when you cut it. The blade pops back a bit and can take a finger off.

I agree, if using a dremel when fragging use extreme caution

If it's not encrusted on the plug just use sps bonecutters and cut at the glue it will come right off

Should be easy to pop off with hands and gloves. Keep the frag plug in the tank and grow another!
