I wanted to get peoples opinions, my tank with a 1-2' sandbed houses a bunch of fish including a melanurus wrasse (no other sand sleepers) but my tank just came down with dinos and i am going to do what i can to fight it. if it gets bad enough i would potentially siphon my sand out, i know where my wrasse sleeps today, and in my QT is did fine with a dish of sand. could that be an option if i resort to removing my sand completely but giving him a small safe space? they don't move around under the sand right?

I would think it would be okay with a dish of sand left over for it to sleep in. I wouldn't leave it with nothing, you would be very happy if someone took away your bed haha

As far as I know they don't really move around once they dive in, they will move to another spot if something else enters the same area of sand as them and becomes a nuisance such as a Sandsifting starfish or Nasarius snail.
