Removing scratches from acrylic

Can you remove scratches from the inside of a acrylic and keep the tank reef safe?

Yes. Google it. Sorry I don’t have a link. There is a company that has sand paper that goes on your magnet. Someone can chime in who knows.

With a little bit of elbow grease and a pack of sand paper (wet dry stuff) you can apparently remove scratches. I did this and it seemed to have worked. I only removed the scratches on the front panel. I may try for the side but I need stronger magnets lol

oh well I guess this is my reason to get a different tank.

Are you wanting to do this while the tank is running? I've removed scratches on a dry tank but it was alot of work. Doing it on a running tank sounds like HE double L

So I purchased a kit from mightymagnets it takes a lot of time, and this is why I would never go with acrylic again.

Mighty Magnet LLC sells kits just for acrylic tanks. They have many different sizes.

I picked up a 75g glass reef tank. I’m gonna swap tanks and then fix the scratches in the acrylic (eventually)
