Removing shrimp help

any tips or tricks to getting a coral banded shrimp out? I've tried enticing him with food and netting for 2 days. Any other suggestions?

How big is your tank ? Asking cuz I have a biocube and had to remove a shrimp. I emptied the tank till I had about 2 inches of water and it was easy to grab him with big tweezers I feed my anemone with

Make a shrimp trap. Take a water bottle, cut the top off, and then glue it back on.Put food in. If its aggressive about food like mine was, he should go flying in, and then not be able to get out. https://www.nano-reef.com/forums/topic/249712-water-bottle-fish-trap/

@Fishfinder if the trap doesn't work we can send our toddler in after it, tanks big enough. Lol The traps work great.

They are fast and sneaky buggers. Good luck. I got ours out by hand but accidentally ripped his claws and antenna off in the process

Throw a nice fat wrasse in there, I can assure you that shrimp will be gone in 24 hours.

I also added some fishing string to the end of the bottle. The first time I caught the six line he got out. So the second time when I saw him go in I yanked the string and the bottle up. Fish will swim down.

Their pincers are quite strong too. Not nice to get nipped by one

Fish trap is the answer. Other way I have caught them was at night when they were out in the open feeling same and along came an 8" net and that was that.
