So I am considering removing the skimmer from my RS MaxE170. When its tuned in, it works well enough to strip the water column completely of everything. That being said; it is a severe pain in the back side to tune and keep tuned. I have had it overflow more times than I can count. My system is all softies and inverts. Water changes come standard every other week. See any issues doing this?

No skimmer, they seem to like it. New addition
