Removing stickers from acrylic

Good day, all. I acquired this mint condition trigger systems sump second hand for a steal. Stoked about the find. However. These stickers are proving to be a real pain in the butt to remove. If it were glass, I’d take a razor blade to it with some acetone but being that it’s built with acrylic. What are some steps I can take to remove it safely? I’ve tried generic dish soap and vinegar with no luck. Thanks.

As with any chemical apply to a test area first, but WD40 is well known for removing stickers off of many surfaces.

Try using the edge of a credit card or driver license, it shouldn’t scratch the acrylic. To get any adhesive left over you can try rubbing peanut butter over those spots with a microfiber or soft cloth. Might take some elbow grease but should take it off.

You could use a hair dryer to heat it, then credit card to scrape. Goo Gone should be okay as well. As mentioned try on a small area and see how it works.

+1 on the peanut butter. I have also had luck with citrus based cleaners on certain adhesive residuals. Good luck!

Denatured alcohol. Use a rag or a soft cloth, wet the rag and lay *** on the sticker to wet the sticker with the alcohol. Rub the sticker with the damp cloth, until the sticker begins to slough off. It may leave adhesive at first. Reapply the denatured alcohol and wipe off the adhesive. Works great on acrylic or glass, and with a soft cloth and some wiping it won’t leave anything behind except the scratches you made trying to scrape the stickers off with a tool.

It will be clean as new and dries quickly without damage, hazing or material distortion.

Denatured alcohol - available at Home Depot, Lowe’s etc

Peanut butter , really ? worth a try ! I was going to suggest rubbing alcohol . it's worked for me before .

goo gone is your best option. Then a quick good wipe-down with windex.
I work with stickers on acrylic at work and that is how I remove them.

another way is run it under hot water and rub with a rag you don't care about anymore. Thats how I got the glue off wine bottle so I could reuse them for projects.

What works is using nail polish remover. Wear gloves. Dries skin. Use cotton pad. Works super great.
