I have old vortech wire tie squares which have left behind sticky residue. Its been there for a little while and now pretty hard. I tried a razor blade with no luck. Last time I used nail polish remover (on another tank) it turned by glass cloudy. This is sapphire glass. Suggestions?

I’ve had really good luck with soaking the spot in dawn for a few minutes and then rubbing with the green side of a regular sponge

What about a little goo gone onto a rag to soften it up then use the razor blade to take it off. Then clean up with RO water.

I dabbed some vege oil on it... let it sit for 5 min, then came right off with a razor blade. Crazy vege oil does that. I'm curious on why lol. I wanted to ask on here first before I screwed up my tank and ruined my weekend lololol.

Thanks everyone.
