The second time I buy chaeto was contaminated with caulerpa ??? but can't moticed
after taking over the chaeto in the refugium the caulerpa my guess was prolifera start growing in the overflows
after removing overflows, refugium and add clean chaeto the caulerpa regrow and takes over again
The lfs identify as caulerpa serrulata and very invasive
Removing again the caulerpa my questions are :
How can I prevent to comeback ?
What eat it ?
Blackout refugium for a week ?
Thanks in advance

A lot of algae eaters will eat macro algae such as caulerpa serrulata, the ones I know will definitely eat it are foxfaces (S. magnificus to be precise) and I think some yellow tangs is ill however, don’t add a tang in unless they’re your last fish(es)

Have one tomini tang in my tank but no in the refugium dimensions are 12x11x10 inches

Have couple of sea urchin doing the job if they don't eat what's left will do manually
If your lfs is close by then another thing you could do is take it to them - Obviously in a fish bag or bucket, with some water - They may be able to take it in and sell it.
That’s what my LFS do and now they have a ton of chaetomorpha algae and other macros, I’m waiting for them to have gracilla and caulerpa taxifolia for my 20g cube to help pod populations grow (Also just because I saw a macro algae nano and I would love to do something similar)
